What you need to know:

  • Feeding the Reindeer is suitable for even the youngest of hobblers, at age 5+!
  • The experience lasts 15 - 30 minutes
  • Participants will be given some browse, cos lettuce, or other type of feed, and then an animal team member will take you to the feeding platform and teach you how to feed the reindeer safely
  • Meet the keepers! Q&A with the reindeer caretakers will be available throughout the session, along with plenty of educational facts
  • Bring your camera! There will be plenty of great photo opportunities...

  • Disclaimers must be read and signed prior to the experience.
  • Max 8 guests per timeslot for Feed the Reindeer
  • Participants will be provided Nitrile gloves and will be required to wash their hands following the experience
  • This experience is suitable for young children as guests are not directly exposed to antlers or hooves
  • Anyone entering Hobbledown must have a ticket. If you are accompanying someone doing an animal experience but are not participating, you must still hold your own general admission ticket
  • This experience is part of Hobbledown Heath’s FACE to FACE Ambassador Animal Programme
  • Whilst every effort is made to accommodate everyone, due to the nature of the experience it is unfortunately not suitable for pregnant guests, visitors with disabilities or learning difficulties, or those who are suffering from an immune suppressant illness.
