Want to get up close to our floppy-haired Highland cattle. Join our experienced animal team to learn all about Hobbledown’s big shaggy beasts and feed them some tasty treats for only £35!
What you need to know:
- Highland Cow feeding is suitable for even the youngest of hobblers, at age 8+!
- The experience lasts 20 - 30 minutes
- Includes general admission to Hobbledown Heath
- Participants will be given some browse, cos lettuce or other type of feed, and an animal team member will show you how to feed the highland cows safely
- Meet the keepers! Q&A with the animal caretakers will be available throughout the session, along with plenty of educational facts
- Bring your camera! There will be plenty of great photo opportunities...

- Disclaimers must be read and signed prior to the experience.
- Max 8 guests per timeslot for Highland Cow feeding
- Participants will be provided Nitrile gloves and will be required to wash their hands following the experience
- Anyone entering Hobbledown must have a ticket. If you are accompanying someone doing an animal experience but are not participating, you must still hold your own general admission ticket
- This experience is suitable for young children as the guests are feeding through a barred window and are not directly exposed to horns or hooves
- Where possible, guests will be allowed to meet and feed the Highland Cattle - however, for the animals' wellbeing, this is subject to vary on the day
- This experience is part of Hobbledown Heath’s FACE to FACE Ambassador Animal Programme
- Whilst every effort is made to accommodate everyone, due to the nature of the experience it is unfortunately not suitable for pregnant guests, visitors with disabilities or learning difficulties, or those who are suffering from an immune suppressant illness.
