As Hobbledown has a Zoo on site this is not possible. The only exception to this is assistance dogs, although some areas are excluded such as our walkthroughs and where animal demonstrations take place.
We ask for assistance dogs to be leashed in order to prevent potential nose to nose contact with some of our animals or undue stress to their welfare and well-being.
Additionally, as we do daily walks with some of our animals such as reindeer, this is for the safety of the assistance dog, the handler, the zoo animals and the team.
If it is not possible to leash your assistance dog, please alert one of our team upon arrival so that we can better assist you during your visit experience.
Please be warned that the car park is very open and provides very little shade. Dogs die in hot cars, so please keep them safe by leaving your pets at home.
