Mining Village gets a facelift

Nearly a million pieces of  Hobbledown Crystallite have been found there since we opened in 2012, and now our Mining Village has been given a facelift.

The sandy area [next to the jumping pillows] has undergone essential ground works and improvements. This includes installing a new slide and introducing 130 tonnes of fresh sand.

Assistant General Manager Sarah Trevillion said: “After five years of British weather our outside areas do need some TLC from time to time. The Mining Village is one of our most popular areas and we hope everyone will enjoy its spruced up look.”
