New animal curator

We are delighted to announce the latest addition to our team – our new Animal Curator Angela Lambert.

Angela is a former teacher who has worked at zoos and safari parks all over the world and we are thrilled to have her on board.

Not only will she oversee all aspects of animal management here at Hobbledown, but she will make decisions about the animals’ diets, veterinary care, enrichment activities, quarantine procedures and animal husbandry.

One of her most exciting roles will be selecting new animals for our collection.

Angela has 25 years experience in the industry and will oversee a team of 10.

Prior to working for us she worked on the film version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp, training squirrels that starred in the movie. She also worked with the parrots on children’s TV programme Harry’s Mad.
