Hobbledown’s work within the community has helped win it an award.
Our adventure farm park has scooped the ‘Community Consideration’ category at the Surrey and Hampshire Biz Awards, run by Eagle Radio.
Held at the esteemed Great Fosters at Egham, the awards celebrate business success across two counties.
Hobbledown won the award for its community outreach programme which includes projects such as taking some of our smaller animals to the likes of care homes. Research has shown that petting animals is great therapy and can have a positive effect on mood in residential homes.
We have also provided free entertainment for the likes of the Ashley Shopping Centre and Epsom Downs Racecourse Family Fun Day, hosted networking evenings for local business people, provided thousands of free family day tickets to schools and charities, and teamed up with local libraries to carry out storytime with the Hobbledown characters.
Hobbledown General Manager David Long said: “It’s so refreshing and rewarding to be recognised for all of the unadvertised investment that we make within the community such as over 100 jobs, 1000s of donations to local schools and charity groups as well as entertainment and animal outreach programmes delivered within the local area since opening almost four years ago.”
